Overview
The IPS Soft Touch PH-200 is an 8" (206 mm) professional combination plier with replaceable acetal resin jaws, designed for mechanics, hobbyists, and equipment technicians who need to grip plated parts, brass, stainless steel, and plastic without scratching them.
The screw-mounted resin jaw inserts hold firmly in use and swap out with a Phillips screwdriver when worn, and a spare set is included. A two-position joint handles both small and large parts, opening to 0.98" (25 mm) and gripping pipe from Ø0.31" to Ø0.98" (8–25 mm), while a built-in cutter handles soft wire and nails up to about Ø0.10" (Ø2.6 mm).
The cationic electrodeposition coating is rated by IPS at roughly 10 times the rust resistance of plating, so it holds up well around water. IPS lists hobby and craft work, vehicle maintenance, musical instrument repair, and fishing gear maintenance among its uses. Made in Japan.
