Overview
The IPS HLS-300 is an 11.6" (295 mm) professional long-reach straight nose plier designed for mechanics, machinery technicians, and installers who need to grip, pull, and position parts deep inside engine bays, machinery, and enclosures where standard pliers can't reach.
Unlike thin radio-style long nose pliers, its handles are shaped for rigidity, so the tool resists twisting and flexing under a firm grip. The tip is only about 0.12" (3 mm) thick, with two notched grooves and both large and small serrations that hold round, flat, and irregular parts securely. A two-position joint opens to about 0.98" (25 mm) and grips pipe from Ø0.12" to Ø0.98" (3–25 mm), and a built-in cutter handles soft wire and nails up to about Ø0.13" (Ø3.2 mm).
IPS makes it from JIS-equivalent chrome vanadium steel with a fully non-oxidizing heat treatment and induction-hardened jaws for durability, finished in nickel-chrome plating with red dipped grips. Made in Japan.
